  1. Smart Search: You can use as many words as you like to describe the candidate, but put the most important keywords first when describing the type of candidate you seek.

      Example:
Java Programmer - To find a Java Programmer.
Java Programmer VB - To find a Java Programmer, VB is a plus.
VB Programmer Java - To find a VB Programmer, Java is a plus.
VB Programmer Java Oracle - To find a VB Programmer, knowing Java and Oracle is a plus.

  2. Title Search: Use the same logic as Smart Search, but only limit the search in the Title field.

  3. All Words: The search results will contain all the keywords you specified. It is AND logic. The search results usually are tightly matched.

  4. Any Word: The search results will contain at least one keyword you specified. It is OR logic. The search results usually are loosely matched.

  5. Boolean Search: Allow you to use AND, OR, NOT, NEAR and parenthesis to construct query string like:
(project NEAR manager) AND (sales OR marketing)

  6. Exact Search: Good for searching phrases or words that contain special characters such as: c/c++, as/400, etc.

  7. Use Location and Freshness to limit search scope. Add a location, not listed in the dropdown box, by entering Zip code. Results will be searched via the zipcode and returned. You can refine larger city searches as well using the Zip Code field.

  8. Modify your Query and click Search / Refine Search button again to refine your search.

The results of your search are sorted by the percentage of your keywords matched. Those that contain the highest percentage of matches are first and descend to least number of keywords matched.
